Open Irish doors from North America to New Zealand

Every month, Irish Culture and Customs attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. We also have nearly 5,000 subscribers to our free weekly newsletter which goes out to points all over the map - Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South America, Cyprus, Yugoslavia, the USA and many other countries.

We believe our site could be very attractive to advertisers of Irish-related products or services - and our rates are both reasonable and negotiable depending on the type of ad.

Newsletter Advertising
We run between three and five small text ads in each newsletter. The newsletter is distributed once or twice a month. To read one or more samples, please click Newsletter Archive

The vital statistics:
•We are currently averaging more than 2000 unique visitors a day and over 100,000 page views per month
•We have more than 700 pages devoted to articles, poetry, recipes, reviews and more.
Depending on the search key words, we are consistently placed in the top positions on Google.
•Advertisers may select a specific page for their ad. We will be more than happy to guide you in the selection of an appropriate page for your ad placement.
• Display ads are positioned in the right margin. In general, we offer an ad with an image equal to the width of the right margin and the copy placed directly under the image. Both the image and the text are hot-linked to your site.
• Hot link text ads are available and link to an advertiser's web site via a piece of text in an article.

So there you have it - just the basics on how our website and newsletter could be promoting your product or service to prospective customers actively seeking everything and anything related to Ireland and Irish.

Interested? Please E-Mail us: Irish Culture and Customs.
We'll get back in touch promptly!

Notes:
We are making every effort to feature only those advertisers who offer tasteful Irish-related products or services. So, bobble-head leprechaun dolls would most likely be turned down, no matter how tempting the money!
•We do not allow banner ads, pop-up windows or animations. They're intrusive and we don't want to irritate our readers.

The Galway Hooker

This unique vessel, with its distinctive curved lines and bright red sails, originated in the village of Claddagh. During the 19th century, hookers supported a significant fishing industry and also carried goods, livestock and fuel. Seán Rainey is remembered for building the last of the original boats, the Truelight, for Martin Oliver who was to become the last king of the Claddagh; as king, he was entitled to white sails on his boat. Since the mid seventies, many of the old sailing craft which were on the verge of extinction have been lovingly restored and new ones have been built. During the summer months they can be seen at festivals such a Cruinniú na mBád - the Gathering of the Boats - in Kinvara.
