Show your Irish pride and fly the flag!

The tri-color flag of Ireland was based on that of France and first used in 1848. The green represents the Catholic, Gaelic and Anglo-Norman communities, the orange represents the planter group of Northern Ireland while the white center signifies a hope of peace and trust between the two.
Bridget's brother, Christopher, always puts out his flag on Saint Patrick's day. When he has his annual party, no one ever has trouble finding the house. We suppose there are no other flags on the street!?

Clay Pipes

The village of Knockcroghery in County Roscommon was famous for almost 300 years as a center for the production of clay pipes or "Dúidíns". In the late 1800s, virtually the entire village was involved in the manufacture of the pipes with seven different families involved, each with their own kiln.

How about an authentic tweed cap woven from pure new wool in county Donegal? The fabric has the colors and character of the Irish countryside; ruggedness to wear well; softness for comfort; and, as they say in Ireland, "Wear it in good health."
Russ has such a cap - two, actually, and he wants more. They shed water like a duck.

We put this one first because if you really want to own one, you'd better not waste any time. Apparently, the genuine Irish blackthorn walking stick is becoming increasingly more difficult to find. We found a great source. Never did self defense look this good.

Just to your left, we said they are becoming hard to find. Here are the alternatives. Apparently many agree these are what Blackthorn Sticks ought to look like; crooked, curved, warped, thorny, and knotty. Keep in mind the Irish proverb: "It's often ugly was mannerly and handsome was horrible."
Shown - well, they don't really look that good - but hurry, they are selling fast!

Brightly Colored Shops in Dingle by Richard Cummins from Barewalls Photos & Prints

Can't Find it?!

Our Shops are compiled from what we know and like. If you can't find what you're looking for read on.

Irish Shop, US & Ireland.
General, they carry Heritage Crystal (offshoot of Waterford), clothing, much else and have an inordinate number of pub & den signs. They do not carry any foodstuffs or perishables.

LollySmith, US.
General, with many items that are hard to find, such as Blackthorn walking sticks. The best Guinness collection (& prices) we've seen. They also carry a great sense of humour.

Celtic Attic, USA
They carry a wide variety of products from food to fashions, and, as the name implies, they aren't exclusively Irish. Enjoy browsing and discovering unusual items such as Celtic sea salt and a genuine St. Brigid's Cross made in Ireland of river rushes.

Simply Irish, Ireland.
General, no clothing but nice Irish Linen. Jewellry - including heraldic rings & pendants, Connemara marble, music and more.

Celtic Shamrock, US.
General, Belleek China, Galway Crystal, fun stuff and, not so commonly, - candles, food hampers & the irish Flag!

Creative Irish Gifts Many unique products you won't find any where else. Best of all, part of their profits help support the Irish Children's Fund which fosters understanding between Protestant and Catholic youngsters in Northern ireland.

Waterford
The name says it all - Waterford is the leading brand of premium crystal. Its products - superb handcrafted crystal stemware, giftware and lightingware - are designed and manufactured to the highest standards.

You will see other items on these pages not from any of the above shops. They are truly unique sources. If you are interested in these 'one of a kind' items, just click on what you see and find out what other items (if any) they may offer.
